In my traditional drawing and paintings, I feel most drawn to capturing glimpses of a human or humanoid’s inner world.
Inner struggles, motivations, inspiration and emotional landscapes are what guide me in the selection of medium.
I seek to understand the way we hide our inner workings from the outside world, but always drip a glimpse of what’s really going on inside us through our eyes.
The media used for these pieces are varied. I love working with ballpoint pens by themselves or with the addition of watercolours.
Some of the colourful pieces have been done with tempera paints to evoke a more powerful colour.
I also use traditional printing techniques such as drypoint and linocut.
